Authenticity

Today , in my car , I listened to a TED podcast. It was a typical over-sweet positive thinking thing. But one thing struck me during lunch hour and has stuck with me for six hours now. It was about some basketball player who wrote a book on his interest in knitting or something like that - something not spectacular at all - whatever it was.
That struck as authentic. And I wanted to be able to write stuff that come to mind just like that. Honest , not very politically right always. And I wanted to give that blog a name that would not indicate who I am so that I can write freely. I don't have to think about my parents stumbling on the thoughts . my wife , my friends from college judging me or whatever.
How authentic is that? Gotta go watch 'Drive' now.
